

Burton S. Brown, age 92, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2013, in Tallahassee, FL.
He was born in Toledo, Ohio, served in WW II and was a Battle of the Bulge survivor. Burton worked for Honeywell in Clearwater,FL, for nearly thirty years. Upon retiring, he then worked as a courier for St. Anthony’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL, for ten years. After moving to Tallahassee in 1990 he worked as a volunteer at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital for nearly twenty years as a “cuddler” in the neo-natal unit.
Survivors include his beloved wife of almost 66 years, Florence (Widlund) Brown; a son, David W. (Laura) Brown of Tallahassee; one sister, Thelma Koke of Toledo, Ohio; grandchildren, Sarah, Joshua and Lucas Brown all of Tallahassee.
Visitation will be at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home 700 Timberlane Road on Monday, April 15th, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at Noon, 12:00 o’clock, at Grace Lutheran Church, 2919 Miccosukee Road, Tallahassee. Burial will be at Culley’s MeadowWood Memorial Park on Timberlane Road.
