Carlos M Guanche

He was surrounded by his family and loved ones. Born in Cuba in 1928, Carlos always had a passion for singing. His deep baritone voice led him to sing all over the world, from his hometown in Cuba to Spain, and even to Africa! What he loved most was singing to his wife, Amanda Guanche, for the past 60 years! Amanda and Carlos met and fell in love in 1961 in Havana, Cuba. They were married in 1962, and their first son, Juan Carlos, was born in 1963. Carlos and Amanda left Cuba for a better life in the United States in the mid 1960’s. They arrived in the United States and lived in Meriden, Connecticut, where their second son, Edward, was born. In the early 70’s, they and their two sons, moved to Miami where Carlos and Amanda have lived for more than 50 years.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 60 years, Amanda Guanche; their son, Juan, and his children, Katherine, Juan Jr, and David; and their son, Edward, and his wife, Shannon, and their children, Brett and Stephanie; along with many close friends who were like family to him.

Carlos was a wonderful man with a heart of gold, and he will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know him.

A celebration of life to honor him will be planned on a future date in Miami. Friends and family will be notified when arrangements have been made.
