Carol W. Ashmore, 81, passed away Friday, May 26, 2023. Carol is survived by her husband, Dale Ashmore; two sons, Tom Conely and Jeremy Ashmore; daughter, April Winchester; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Joy Matlock; and brother, Danny Smith. She is preceded in death by parents George R. Williams Jr., Everette "Jo" Smith and Dan Smith; sister, Agnes Butler.
Carol was a devout Christian. She enjoyed singing, playing the piano, sewing and nature. She also developed a passion for writing fictional books set on St. Simons Island, with three books to her credit.
