Carolyn graduated with a B.S. from Muskingum College (Ohio), earned a Masters degree spanning numerous schools, and completed her educational journey with her Ph.D. from Florida State University. She was a registered psychologist in the state of Florida. She retired from Florida State Hospital where she was employed as a Senior Clinical Psychologist for many years. Her passion was working with her husband to train poodles to entertain shut-ins and folks in rest homes. She particularly loved Katherine Hepburn movies. She also reveled in political discussions.
She was predeceased by her parents, Helen and Starling MacMillan of Massillon, Ohio.
She leaves her husband John of Tallahassee, two brothers, David (Massillon, Ohio) and Richard (Shorewood, IL), three nieces, two nephews, many great nieces and nephews, and two loving poodles.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home , Timberlane Road Chapel.
Arrangements are under the direction of Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, Tallahassee, FL.
