Catherine Veronica Loscialo

Catherine Veronica Drago Loscialo passed away peacefully on January 24, 2016, at the Margaret Dozier House, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 2, 1925 in Copiague, Long island, NY to Frank and Santina Drago. During World War II, Catherine was employed with Northrop Grumman where she installed labels in the cockpits of the first F6 Hellcat fighter planes sent to battle. She was part of an era known by many as the "Greatest Generation". After the War, Catherine became a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother where she passed on her love, food, and faith of her Italian heritage. Catherine was a devout Catholic and had a never ending love for her family and friends. She was always kind and loving to everyone she met. Her gentle, soft-spoken nature will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, especially her devoted Bella. Catherine leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her two daughters, Carol Loscialo of Lebanon, NJ and Cathy (Tony) Givens of Tallahassee; two sons George (Tina) and Frank (Angie) Loscialo of Tallahassee; a brother, Joseph (Carol) Drago of Boynton Beach; her grandchildren, Sergio (Nina), Joseph (Marissa), Annette (Peter), Carolyn, Matthew, Frankie, Nicole, Christine and Jonathan; nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was predeceased by her parents; two husbands, Joseph Nuccio and Albert Loscialo; two brothers Frank and Anthony; a sister Josephine Craig; and son-in-law Sergio Loscialo. A Wake will be held at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home at 1737 Riggins Road on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 28, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 624 Miccosukee Road. Interment will follow immediately afterwards at Culley's MeadowWood on Timberlane Road. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Catherine's honor to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Boulevard, Tallahassee, FL 32308. The family is grateful to everyone at Big Bend Hospice for their loving care.
