Cathy Lee Sousa Myers

On July 5, 1960, Cathy Lee (Sousa) Myers was born to Bill and Veronica Sousa in New London. She passed away in Crawfordville on Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014.Having experienced salvation as a teenager and having already set an example of purity of heart, Cathy has undoubtedly joined the saints in heaven.In June 1982, she married Frank Myers in Groton, later moved to Orlando, Fla. and moved to Tallahassee, Fla. in 1990. During their 23 year marriage, they raised Kim, Heather and Stephanie. Most recently, Cathy managed at Charlotte Russe in the Gov. Sq. Mall.Cathy is survived by her fiance, Greg Garrett and their son, Julius of Crawfordville; her daughters, Kim Freeman of Crawfordville, Heather Mooney of Jacksonville, Fla. and Stephanie Crawford of Asheville, N.C.; her mother, Veronica Weeks; her grandmother, Catherine Griffith; her sisters, Debby and Shirley; her brothers, Troy and David; many aunts, uncles, cousins, sons-in-law, nieces, nephews; and five grandchildren.She is predeceased by her father; Bill; her stepdad, Richard Weeks; and her brothers, Billy and Todd Sousa.Greg and Cathy were members of Promise Land Church in Crawfordville.There will be a visitation starting at 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 15, 2014, at Culley's MeadowWood, 1737 Riggins Road, Tallahassee, FL 32308, followed by a memorial service at 6 p.m.
