

Charles was born on January 22, 1942, in South Bend, Indiana, to the late Raymond Feasenheiser and Charlotte (Allen) Feasenheiser.
A proud patriot, Charles served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, achieving the rank of Sergeant. For his courage and dedication, he was awarded the Bronze Star and retired after a distinguished military career.
Following his service, Charles worked as a security guard at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, where he met the love of his life, Barbara. The two were married in 1987 and shared many wonderful years together filled with cherished memories.
Charles later worked in the flooring industry with Southern Flooring, where he took great pride in his craftsmanship. He especially enjoyed teaching his grandson, Bryan, the basics of flooring and found immense joy in watching the skills and knowledge he passed down flourish into successful projects through the years.
In his spare time, Charles was an avid coin collector and enjoyed searching for unique additions to his collection. He and Barbara enjoyed their breakfast outings together and spent many happy years participating in a bowling league at Capital Lanes, creating lasting memories.
He cherished the moments spent with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Charles was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara Feasenheiser; his daughter, Debra VanDewark Jones; his parents, Charlotte (Allen) Feasenheiser and Raymond Feasenheiser; his brothers, Kenneth Feasenheiser and Frederick Feasenheiser; and his sisters, Joyce and Shirley.
He is lovingly survived by his daughter, Rebecca (Robert) Mauck of Quincy, Florida; his son, Timothy VanDewark of Cocoa Beach, Florida; and his daughter, Tanya (John) Williams of Hosford, Florida.
He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Bryan (Holly) VanDewark of Crawfordville, Florida; Brenna (Kyle) Baker of Tallahassee, Florida; Jessica (Bo) Smith of Havana, Florida; and Talon VanDewark of Colorado.
His legacy continues through his beloved great-grandchildren: Mendi VanDewark of Tallahassee, Florida; Brody Baker of Tallahassee, Florida; and Sadie Smith of Tallahassee, Florida.
Charles will be remembered for his service to his country, his strong character, his work ethic, and the time he shared with those he loved.
There will be no visitation.
Graveside services with military honors will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 26, 2026, at Tallahassee National Cemetery in Tallahassee, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation in honor of Charles Raymond Feasenheiser Jr.
