I have a memory engraved in my mind of us, and it’s been replaying in my head since I got the news...

Lennie was training me in the bar. I took care of wood (bar customers), while Lennie did well (made drinks). One of the customers was an older man who kept inviting me over to his house. Long story short, the guy was a creep who stayed in his car an hour after we closed to watch me walkout. I didn’t say that I was scared, but I really was. Lennie didn’t hesitate. He put his arm around me, told me to act natural and get in Lennie’s car. Once in the car he told me he would never let anything happen to me because that’s what friends are for. That was the day we officially became friends. 

Though I have many other memories that make me laugh, I keep going back to that touching moment. Because it’s the first time I saw how truly big his heart was. 

Rest easy my friend. Thank you for such a sincere friendship. Thank you for all the laughs. Thank you for your hugs when I was down. Thank you for checking in on me when you knew I was sad. Thank you for all the fun memories. And thank you for letting us all get to know you.

I’ll always remember how at my downtown house you begged for just one more popsicle and I kept giving in. You, Caitlyn, Sean and Logan finished a box of 100 popsicles that day! Thankfully your mom let you come back. 

Give your dad a hug for me. You will be missed.




I'd never had the opportunity to actually meet Christopher Lennie, but when I heard of his untimely and unfortunate accident from David Hurst at a Carrabba's function, I could see and feel how well-loved and respected Chris was as part of the "Carrabba's family". To Mr. Lennie's family and friends, my heartfelt condolences on this loss of a promising individual with such a bright future ahead. May he rest in peace knowing he touched so many in so many ways.

I watched you become a manger and one of the best I’ve ever had. You were a great person, friend, and leader. Carrabbas won’t be the same without you and words can’t describe how much you’ll be missed. We love you 👼🏼💜 

Our sweet funny Lennie, we all love you more than you will ever know. Your Carrabbas family will always cherish your memory. Thank you for always lighting up the room & making me laugh. You’ll forever be our guardian angel.

I was honored to have  had the opportunity to Coach you as a member of the 2009 East Ridge High School Swim Team.

Your performance led our 4 x 100 Medley relay to state competition . You had a strong personality and a strong performance to go with it.

I was always proud of you and enjoyed speaking with you when our path crossed around town at South Lake Hospital or Carrabas.

Our family is very sorry to learn of your untimely departure .
