Clarence D. Smith

Clarence David Smith “CD” “Pops”, 89, passed away Friday, August 9, 2013. A celebration of Dave’s life will be held at the home of Kevin and Lynne Roberts, 1902 Raa Avenue, Tallahassee, Florida between 5:00 and 7:00.

Dave was born on November 17, 1923 in Greensboro, NC and resided in Tallahassee, FL for more than 40 years. Dave is predeceased by his wife of more than 50 years, Yvonne Smith.

He defended our country during World War II as a Corporal in the U.S. Army Air Forces where he received many medals including three bronze stars. Dave was a member of the Pipefitters and Welders Union 592. He enjoyed playing golf, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by three daughters, Cindy Wamsley and husband David, of Pasadena, CA, Lynne Roberts and husband Kevin, of Tallahassee, FL and Debbie Smith and fiancé Dean Rakestraw, of Tallahassee, FL. 8 grandchildren, Tricia Belanger and husband Mike, David Tadlock, Bill Hicks, Ashley Smith, Kendall Hicks, Heather Smith, Logan Smith and Victoria Roberts. 2 great grandchildren, Oliver Ramos-Roberts and Grayson Berry, and a loving sister Barbara Oaks of Greensboro, NC. He will be remembered forever in our hearts.
