Graveside service will be held 11:00 am Thursday, August 26, 2010 at Tallahassee Memory Gardens. Family will receive friends from 6 – 8 pm Wednesday at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home, 1737 Riggins Rd. Memorials may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32308.
Mr. Wood was born in Thomasville, GA and a longtime resident of Tallahassee. He was the former owner and operator of Tallahassee Scrap Metal Inc.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Oglesby Wood, his son, Corky Wood and two brothers, Earl and Kenneth Wood.
Survivors include his sons, Ray Wood and Michael Wood ( and his wife Brenda), step-sons, Keith Crosby and Bruce Crosby (and his wife Patricia), a step-daughter, Tracy Bailey, one sister, Thelma Scott, 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the direction of Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, Tallahassee, FL.
