Constance Rhoda Tabb

She was born in New York City, New York, on May 20, 1937. She was married to Boris Andrst from 1960 – 1966. She married Lester Martin Tabb in 1967 and was widowed in 1993. She is survived by her sisters: Helen Jaffe and Karen Sherer, her children, Dana Martin, George Tabb, Lloyd Tabb, Seth Tabb, Tracy Tabb, and Samantha Tabb. She is also survived by her godson, Mark Andrst, and by her grandchildren: Jane Tabb, Emily Tabb, Harrison Tabb, Sydney Martin, Andrew Tabb, Sophie Nelsen, Liam Martin, Nicholas Tabb, Lily Nelsen, Nico Young, and Penelope Young.

Connie was a beautiful, strong, dynamic woman who was passionate about so many things. She was a huge animal lover, always with a dog by her side, a cat in her house, and a horse at her farm. She had amazing style, from the clothes she wore to the houses she renovated and designed. She was a talented seamstress, making many of her own and her children’s clothes. She was a music lover that listened to a wide range of genres. She loved spending time in the North Carolina mountains, always bringing her pets with her and entertaining family and friends in Blowing Rock and, later, in Bryson City.

She was loved by many and will be forever missed.
