

Curtis Eugene Wallace, 77, was received by his Savior on Monday, August 15, 2016 at Capital Regional Medical Center in Tallahassee following complications from illness. Curtis will be missed greatly by his loving family including his beloved wife of 56 years, Roberta; his daughter Terry Lynn Paul (Bobby); his daughter Veronda Renae Wallace; five grandchildren, Amber Gordon (fiancé Patrick Davis); Mark Gordon (Kirstie); Kayla Gordon; Trevor Wallace; Trenton Wallace; and four great-grandchildren, Gage, Shelby, Khloe and Adrian, all of Tallahassee; sister, Barbara Smith of Jacksonville, FL; brother, Clayton Wallace (Hazel) of Virginia; and sister, Irene Ingle of Virginia.
Curtis was raised in Castlewood, Virginia, the son of Samuel and Gertrude Wallace, Curtis was a long-term resident of Tallahassee, Florida. After graduating from Castlewood High School in 1957, Curtis took a job working in the coal mines of Virginia. In 1963, he moved his family to Jacksonville to begin work as a tractor trailer driver. He later took a job in 1968 with Greyhound Bus Lines moving him to Tallahassee in 1970. He came off the road with a medical retirement in 1989. In 1995, Curtis returned to work as a driver for Southern Vitreoretinal Associates. His final retirement was ten years later in 2005.
Curtis was a member of Thomasville Road Baptist Church. He enjoyed the fellowship of other church members and always encouraged people he met to visit his church that he loved so much.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August, 18, 2016 at Culley’s MeadowWood, 1737 Riggins Rd, Tallahassee, FL 32308 from 6pm – 8pm. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 19, 2016, at 11:00am at Thomasville Road Baptist Church, 3131 Thomasville Road, Tallahassee, FL 32308.
