David James Robinson Cessna

David was a skilled welder whose work took him across the United States, where he worked on a wide variety of construction projects. His career allowed him to travel, experience different parts of the country, and meet people from many walks of life.

David never met a stranger—only new friends he had not yet met. He had a natural ability to connect with people, and the friendships he made were meaningful and lasting. He made an effort to stay in touch with the people he met throughout his travels, leaving behind friends and memories in many places across the country.

David had a special place in his heart for the children he considered his own, Marlee and Hailey Collins.

David was preceded in death by his beloved Grannie Kathleen Taylor, Step-Grandmother Sandy Robinson, Nana Marlene Meakin Cessna, and Grandpa Oliver Cessna.

He is survived by his children of the heart, Marlee and Hailey Collins; his mother and bonus father, Marion and Hal Johnson; his father, Matthew Cessna; his sisters, Lynn Cessna and Kay Bruijn; his grandfather, James Robinson; and his bonus grandparents, Harold and Patricia Johnson.

He is also survived by his aunts, Danley Skelly, LeeAnn (Mike) Godwin, Marlene (Larry) Plympton, Paula Brubaker, and Tammy Woods; and his uncles, Paul (Melissa) Cessna, Jim (Lucy) Johnson, and John (Cathy) Johnson.

David leaves behind one niece, Emma Bruijn, and four nephews, Nicholas Bruijn, Lukas Cessna, Jakob Cessna, and JaKori Robinson.

He is also survived by his cousins, Jonathan Adams, Eric Adams, Victoria Damico, Amber (Clint) Collins, Daniel (Kara) Skelly, Trey (Amanda) Skelly, Taylor Cessna, Meghan (Steven) Rogers, Nate (Elizabeth) Woods, Tricia (Joshua) Kapps, Keith (Libby) Johnson, and Stephanie Johnson along with many other extended family members and friends who loved him dearly.

David will be remembered for his warm and outgoing spirit, his ability to make friends wherever he went, and the genuine connections he formed throughout his life. He leaves behind a lifetime of friendships, memories, and people whose lives were touched by knowing him.

Though his time with us was far too short, the love he gave and the memories he created will remain with those who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
