A true gentleman, full of love, laughter and kindness, Dave exemplified character, integrity, and a competitive passion for life. When remembering him and loving him, "Forever's as far as I'll go."
A memorial tribute to Dave will be held Wednesday, January 12,2011, at 4:00 pm. Culley's Funeral Home on Riggins Road in Tallahassee, FL will assist in our memorial. Join in food and fellowship immediately following our celebration of Dave's life.
David graduated from the University of Maryland in 1962 where he was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. Upon graduation, he began a long career with Travelers Insurance Company. After leaving Travelers David joined with a local insurance agency, The Earl Bacon Agency, and was instrumental in developing an extremely successful employee benefits department.
Dave is survived by his wife, Peggy Stephens Workman, Peggy's two children, Scott Kremkau (Dawn) and Trent Mathers (Bethany) who enjoyed the camaraderie and leadership Dave provided as he welcomed them into our family. Dave is also survived by his two children, Mike Workman (Tina) and Julie Sinclair Rank, as well as his former spouse, Kathy Tyson. Dave's only sibling, Joseph B. Workman (Judy), resides in Berkeley, CA. Although Joe & Judy were far away in distance, Dave's "big brother" was close in his heart.
