I will never forget DJ gave me my first job at Murphy Express as a cashier and he was the store manager. It was a rough start but he kept his faith in my ability and always thanked me for my hardwork. Over time he always asked how was college and my personnel life. Little did I realise he was a life mentor encouraging me to keep going and try to  make the best of my life.  Wish he was here to see me graduate from Famu. 

No farewells were spoken, you were gone before we knew it. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. DJ, my son in law was a wonderful Dad to my granddaughter and a good man, so I know the family has an angel looking over them from Heaven; we miss you. Someday we'll all be free and together again. 

May memories of my uncle Demba Jallow, and love of family surround you and give you strength in the days ahead.
