Di, one of four siblings, was born Diana Lee Sparks in 1956 to parents Oral and Patricia Sparks, in Anchorage, Alaska. Before retiring, she worked as a volunteer coordinator at Big Bend Hospice and receptionist for the League of Southeastern Credit Unions in Tallahassee.
She loved to spend time with family and friends at the beach in St. George Island, cruising the high seas and visiting Disney World with husband, Dave, sitting comfortably on the couch, away from society, getting lost in a novel, and enjoying good times with good friends and good beer.
She is survived by husband, Dave; father, Oral; mother, Patricia; step-daughter, Kim; her sisters, many nieces & nephews and her parakeet, Dude.
There will be visiting hours on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, from 4:00PM-6:00 PM and a Memorial Service on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at 10:00 AM. Both will be held at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, 700 Tiimberland Road in Tallahassee.
