She was born in New York City but was a lifelong resident of Tallahassee.
She is survived by her husband, Dan Searcy of Tallahassee; her children, Curt and Wendy Trawick, Liza and Jeff Smith, Carrin Dolores Trawick and Joanna and Danny Colburn; her grandchildren, Olivia Smith, Jake Randall Higdon, Tyler Stachurski, Dusten Stachurski and Drew Colburn; her sister, Dolores Graves Williams.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herschel Graves and her brother Wicks Harris Graves.
A private family memorial service is planned. A celebration of life will be held for friends and family at Canopy Roads Baptist Church off Bannerman Road at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 6, 2011. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Big Bend Hospice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, Tallahassee, FL.
