She was a lifelong Tallahassee resident, born on October 31, 1953, and a proud graduate of Leon High School (‘71) and Florida State University.
Dianne retired from the State of Florida in 2017 after working 13 years for IBM and a combined 30 years with the Department of Insurance, Department of Education and Department of Environmental Protection, making many friends and admirers along the way. She cherished her many friendships and would go out of her way to help anyone in need. She was a creative talent that had a passion for painting, crafts, and event planning. Most of all she loved laughing and making memories with her family and friends. She worshipped at Celebration Baptist Church in Tallahassee.
Dianne is survived by her husband of 35 years, James H. (Hank) Redd, Jr; daughters, Jessica Miller Field (Charlie) of Tallahassee, Jacqueline Redd Archer (Arron) of Columbia, South Carolina, and Paige Allyson Redd (Chris Tibbitts) of Smyrna, Georgia; siblings, Bruce Parker of Ft. Myers, Susan Nemeth of Trenton, New Jersey, and Peggy Slaboda of Bordentown, New Jersey; niece Sherry Hannon of Tallahassee; and nephew, Justin Parker of Fairfield, California and many other special nieces and nephews. She was “Memaw” to five grandchildren, Tallulah Field, Teagan Field, Charlie Field, Jack Archer, and Evan Archer. The family thanks her best friend, Charlotte Chuites, for her love and support of Dianne.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John James Parker and Jacqueline (Jackie) Rarick Thomas, and her sister, Phyllis Parker Vinson.
A visitation and memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, October 10, 2021, at Culley’s MeadowWood, 1737 Riggins Road, in Tallahassee. The family requests that attendees wear masks and dress casually. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice.
