She was born in James City, Pennsylvania on August 31, 1932. Dolores graduated from Corry High School and received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Edinboro State College. She was married to Paul Mauck, Sr. on June 9, 1979.
Dolores worked as an Elementary Teacher for the Gadsden County School system for over 25 years. As evidenced by her work, she had a passion for children. She loved her family and was devoted to her faith.
Dolores is predeceased by her brothers, Louie Gerzina, Frank Gerzina and Joe Gerzina; and sister, Mary Goryance. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Ongley (Jerry) and Brenda Sunday (Billy); and sons, Bill Ross, Tom Ross (Sue) and Kevin Ross (Julia). She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren (who will miss her dearly).
The family wishes to acknowledge Big Bend Hospice for their care and support. A special acknowledgement to Verdie Hodges of Chattahoochee, Florida who dedicated her time and love to care for Dolores in her final years which meant a great deal to the family.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, July 3, 2020 at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home with interment immediately following. Due to the current pandemic, the family wishes to have a private family service, and will host a Celebration of Life Memorial at a later date.
