Funeral service for Dylan Montgomery Watson will be held 11:00 am Saturday, March 24, 2012 in the chapel of Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home, 700 Timberlane Road. Family will receive friends Friday, March 23, from 6 – 8 pm in the funeral home.
Dylan, 8, passed away Monday, March 19, 2012 at Shands Teaching Hospital in Gainesville. The son of Ron and Dana Watson, Dylan had attended Gilchrist Elementary School. Always positive during his illness, his daily objective, as he would say, was: “ to be awesome, be cool and be funny”.
Dylan is survived by his parents, a brother, Patrick Riggs, two sisters, Christina Atkins (Will) and Kyla Watson, his grandparents, Patti Watson Walsh, Jack and Dorothy Wood and Eliza Watson, his great grandfather, Kenny Cole, a nephew, Wyatt Atkins, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and a very special friend, Miranda. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Kip Watson.
