Edith (Billie) Hancock, 78, of Tallahassee, passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 5th, 2011 after a long, courageous battle with lung cancer. Billie was born on December 21st, 1932. She lived in various parts of Florida throughout her life. She enjoyed latch hook, crossword puzzles, and spending a great deal of time outdoors. Her greatest passion in life was her family and friends. She is survived by her husband Thomas Hancock, her sons George Cochran III (Katharine) and Raymond Cochran, her grandsons George Cochran IV (Andrea) and Stetson Cochran, great grandchildren Brooke and Katelyn Cochran, and a host of numerous friends and family. Per Billie’s request there will be no memorial service. She asked that we celebrate her life by going down to the coast to remember her.
