Elizabeth Strickland

Elizabeth Anne (Smith) Strickland entered into rest Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at 3:22 AM. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at Ivan Assembly of God. The family will receive friends one hour before services begin. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ivan Assembly Missions Fund.

Anne was born in Bainbridge, GA, and was a longtime resident of Wakulla County. She was a homemaker, bookkeeper for her husband’s businesses for 36 years. She enjoyed serving in several churches and teaching Sunday school for children’s church. Her greatest love was taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren in her home. She was a seamstress; making blankets for the women’s pregnancy center and nursing homes in Florida and Georgia.

Survivors include two daughters: Kathy Browning of Tallahassee, Kaye (Terry) Ryals Sr. of Crawfordville; nine grandchildren, Anna (Eldred) Robinson, Lecia (Troy) Ferrell, Tammy (Chris) Wade, James Browning, Terry (Kim) Ryals Jr., Ashlynn (Lee) Rich, Joel Jones, Laura Jones, Linda Jones; fourteen great-grandchildren; two great-great- grandchildren; one brother, Donnie (Anita) Smith and one sister-in-law, Kathy Smith.

She is preceded in death by husband Billy Strickland; three daughters, Tamara Strickland, Vicky Tobell, Faye Jones; parents, Willie and Nellie Smith; brother, David Smith; two sons-in-law, Jimmy Browning and Bill Tobell.

She will be laid to rest at Roselawn Cemetery beside her husband and parents.
