Ellen was born on June 18, 1947, in Miami, Florida, to Curtis “Bud” and Katherine Quicke, both deceased. She attended Miami Southwest High School and shortly thereafter married Frank Makowski. Together, they had two wonderful daughters, Christine Bradley of Atlanta and Dana Makowski of Tallahassee.
In 1983, Ellen moved with her family to Tallahassee, where she continued a successful career as a Realtor with Killearn and Keller Williams. She was a lifelong seeker of knowledge and personal growth, always looking for the good in life and encouraging others to do the same. She was well-read, thoughtful, and deeply encouraging, and was a constant source of inspiration to her daughter, Christine.
Ellen is survived by her daughters, son-in-law, and three grandchildren: Brien Walters of Tallahassee, Amber Walters of Cincinnati, and Avery Bradley of Atlanta.
