Ernie entered eternal life on Friday, March 8, 2019. His spirit is carried on by his loving wife, two children, a daughter in law, a granddaughter, two siblings in Palm Bay, and an extended family of relations and friends from every walk of life.
He was born in Richland, Washington. Coming from a military family, he grew up in Germany and finished his high school years attending Louisiana High. He graduated from Northwestern State University in 1972 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree and was a proud member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity.
His professional life included teaching English at Florida Institute of Technology, Public Information Officer for City of Melbourne, Easter Seals Aquatics for special needs and State of FL IT Security to name a few.
Ernie was a true member and leader of the Melbourne Jaycees Club.
He loved gardening, being outdoors, throwing parties for his family and friends and fun in the sun. But most of all, he cherished being the “go to” guy for all.
Friends are welcome to attend his Celebration of Life at the Culley’s Funeral Home, Timberlane, on Saturday, March 30, from 2 until 6 PM. Dress comfortably with a splash of Jimmy Buffet if you have it.
