Eunice Cone Young of Orlando, Florida passed away September 23, 2015 at Heritage Healthcare Center in Tallahassee, Florida at the age of 99. Born in Warwick, Georgia on April 10, 1916 to Elijah William and Edna Henrietta Cone, she graduated from high school in Darien, Georgia. After beginning her working life in Mayo, Florida, where her parents owned a hotel, she lived in Orlando for 70 years before moving to Tallahassee in 2007.
In Orlando, she worked as a bookkeeper for Besco Products, Roquemore Motors, Curtis & O’Neil Insurance, and T.G. Lee Dairy. She was a member of the First Baptist church of Orlando and, later, the Downtown Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, and two brothers. Survivors include her daughter Marilyn Young (Michael Launer) of Tallahassee; her son Harold M. Young (Brenda) of Marietta, Georgia; two grandchildren, Grace and Alexa Young, and numerous nieces and nephews.
