Faye Norman Salis, 85, of Tallahassee died Tuesday (9/18) in Milton, FL. Born in Dothan, AL, she lived in Tallahassee most of her life. She was a graduate of Leon High School and FSU, and was very active with her ’51 Leon High class gatherings. She was an auditor for the State of Florida, worked for FSU School of Theatre, and last worked for Tall Timbers Research Station. She was a member of John Wesley UMC. She enjoyed bridge, sewing, reading, and Sudoku. She was a member of Seminole Boosters and the University Center Club, and passionately attended most FSU men’s and women’s sporting events. Everyone who knew her was well aware that she bled Garnet & Gold, and that she believed Bobby Bowden hung the moon and stars.
She was preceded in death by her parents Grover Cleveland "Shorty" Norman and Ruth McKnight Norman of Tallahassee.
She is survived by three daughters: Sandy Dean (Robert) Bell of Pace, Lynda Dean (Frank) Jensen of Dahlonega,GA, Kathi Dean (Mike) DonTigny of Hillsboro, OR; sister: Gayle Norman (Tom) Williams of Merritt Island; two nephews, five grandchildren and many close friends and extended family.
