Florence M. Towey, 96, of Tallahassee, FL passed away on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014. Born in Guelph, Ontario, Canada on Apr. 11, 1918, Florence moved to Tallahassee in 1998 from Jacksonville. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
Survivors include her sons, Edward (Martha) Towey of Tallahassee and H. James (Mary) Towey of Ave Maria, FL; daughters, Maureen Towey of Cincinnati, OH, Patrice Towey of St. Augustine, FL, and Jeannine (Bruce) Hubbard of Excelsior, MN; and grandchildren, Benjamin, James, Joseph, John, Maximilian, Colleen, John and Marie.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, Dec. 6th at 2 PM at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 624 Miccosukee Rd., Tallahassee, FL 32308. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Aging with Dignity, PO Box 1661, Tallahassee, FL 32302. Arrangements by Culley’s Meadowwood Funeral Home, Tallahassee.
