Franklin Delano Roosevelt Berger, age 87, of Tallahassee, Florida entered into rest on Thursday, September 9, 2021. Franklin was born May 30, 1934 in Pine Grove, PA to Mary Rhinehart Berger and Lewis Berger.
He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force retiring after 20 years of service. After his retirement from the USAF he joined the civilian workforce and retired from the Florida Department of Education as a Computer Programmer. Franklin was an avid FSU fan.
He is best described as being born a yankee but became a true southerner.
Franklin was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis & Mary Rhinehart Berger.
He is survived by his wife of almost 68 years, Phyllis Berger; his daughters Vickie Berger, Rose Berger and Gloria Berger; his son, Franklin Scott Berger (Juliet) as well as his granddaughter Jasmine Berger.
He also leaves many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
A visitation for Franklin will be held Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, 700 Timberlane Road. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 11:00 AM at MeadowWood Memorial Park. Rev. Wilmont McCrary of Sebring, FL will officiate.
