Fred Ryan Hunter, President of A Touch of Healing, a resident of Tallahassee, Florida, went to be with Jesus at the age of 74 on October 18, 2018. Fred passed peacefully in his home following a lengthy hospital stay.
Fred was born in the Panama Canal Zone on June 10, 1944. He graduated from Balboa High School in Panama and then from Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas with a BS in Business Administration. He was an accomplished businessman and a certified orthotist. His last 19 years were spent as the President of A Touch of Healing. He was a Master Server in the Anglican Church and was a member of Holy Cross Anglican Church. He lived his passion for fair business practices and serving others throughout his business career and by being an active member of Kiwanis, Sunrise Rotary, and a judge for the Preliminary Miss America Pageants Scholarship Program.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Ryan Hunter; his father, Zachary Smith; his brothers, Taylor and Bill Hunter; and his grandson, Joshua Beers. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Sandra Holland Hunter; his children: Wendy Beers (Jackie), Jenny Billman (Alan), Christy Dietz (Eric), Jeff Rodgers; and by his 11 grandchildren: Samuel, Jonathan and Joel Beers, Jacob and Brittany Billman, Alexis, Spencer, Joey, Hailey, Aiden and Blake Dietz who meant the world to him.
His Wife, Sandy, expresses much gratitude to all family and friends who prayed during his hospital stay. Especially their Holy Cross church family and friends at Evangel Assembly of God.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00pm on November 4, 2018 at Holy Cross Anglican Church, 2915 Kerry Forest Pkwy, #401, Tallahassee, Florida.
