Gary Ray Buckner, 63, passed away on September 30, 2014. Born in Fort Belvoir, VA on June 18, 1951, Gary came to Tallahassee in 1970. He was a DJ-Traffic Manager and began his career at Gulf 104.1. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
He is survived by his parents, Boyce and Bonnie Buckner, three children, Jeremy Buckner, Maryanne Nichols (Ryan), Steven Buckner (Cierra), and five Grandchildren; Brother Boyce Kevin Buckner of Madison, AL, and Aunt Barbara McGowan of Tallahassee, Fl.
The family will receive friends Friday, October 3, from 6:00 to 8:00pm at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home 1737 Riggins Rd, Tallahassee, FL 32308. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday October 4 at 10am at Immanuel Baptist Church, 2351 Mahan Dr., Tallahassee, FL 32308. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Immanuel Baptist Church Building Fund.
