Gary Sanguinet passed away on June 15, 2018 at home and in the embrace of family and the dogs he loved. He was an attorney who practiced Workers Compensation Law in St. Louis, MO. He was born in St. Louis on September 21, 1942, and was the son of Merle M. Sanguinet and Marvel Lehr Sanguinet. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam conflict and was discharged in 1969.
Gary obtained his BA from Vanderbilt University and LLD from St. Louis University. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Tallahassee. His primary hobbies were Tai chi and ukulele. He both took and taught classes for several years and made many friends.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents and survived by his wife of 53 years, Kathleen (Kathy) (nee Samuelsen), daughter Amanda Lally of San Francisco, grandchildren Francis and Marygrace, brothers Craig (Bonnie) and Bruce Sanguinet of St. Louis.
A Memorial Service will be at 6:30 PM at Grace Lutheran Church on June 19th. The family will receive friends 60 minutes prior to the service. Refreshments will be served following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Taoist Tai Chi Society, 2100 Thomasville Rd., Tallahassee, or to Grace Lutheran Church.
