

Bobby was born in Tallahassee on July 9, 1941, and was a graduate of Leon High School. He served in the Marines including two tours in Vietnam and retired as a First Sergeant. After the Marines, he worked for over 20 years with the City of Tallahassee Fleet Maintenance, and retired as a supervisor.
Bobby loved spending time with his family and friends. He loved the Florida State Seminoles, and Bobby Bowden. He was an avid fan of NASCAR (the Chevy drivers, of course). He enjoyed helping others and his love of working with computers led him to donate his time and computers to many deserving children. He loved bird watching, and had many bird feeders in his backyard.
Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, George Robert Beane, Sr. and Leora M. Beane, his brother, Jim (Wilma) and stepdaughter, Amanda Hill (Mark).
Bobby is survived by his wife Nancy Owen, sisters Mary Ward, and Shirley Hines, along with his son Bill (Mindy) and daughter, Nina Scott, stepdaughters, Cindy Hamilton (Keith) and Nancy Ashby (Tom) as well as grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, cousins, “adopted” family and friends.
