

George "Tim" Lawrence Hann, III, age 87, passed away on June 13, 2022 in Tallahassee, Florida. Tim was born April 4, 1935 in New York City, New York to the late George Hann, Jr. and Frances Thorne Hann. He was a Navy veteran who proudly served for four years. Tim worked for the Fort Myers City Police Department before moving to the Lee County Sheriff's Department where he stayed until his retirement.
Tim was a faithful FSU fan and was an avid tennis fan and player. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and watching wildlife. He loved to be on the water and had a passion for fly fishing and diving in the Florida Keys.
While in Deland, Florida he met the love of his life, Sylvia Jean Golden, while she was attending Stetson University. They shared 64 wonderful years together and had two children, Pamela and George, IV. He loved his family most of all and even passed along his love of fly fishing to his grandson, Justin.
Tim is survived by his wife, Sylvia Jean Hann; daughter, Pamela Hann Wallheiser (Steven Weinstock); son, George "Bud" L. Hann, IV (Tammy Linn Hann); grandson, Justin Jacob Wallheiser (Lacey Kirkland Wallheiser); great-granddaughter, Maeve M. Wallheiser; brother, Ted Hann (Betty Jo Hann); nieces and nephews, Arlene (Mike) Jordan, Stacey Rainey, Margaret Bearden O'Dell, Lacey (Jason) Watson, Larry Golden, Wayne (Diana) Golden, Shannon Golden, and Julie Golden; sister-in-law, Judy Golden Humble (Nelson Humble); and brothers-in-law, Walter Golden (Norma Golden), Brent Golden (Jean Golden), and Wayne Golden.
