I worked at Le Pub for nearly 2 years - bar tending & waitressing. Can’t drive past it without great memories. George was a great boss! He was a great person, too. I know he’s missed. 🙏🏼

I knew George from North Kingston high school in Wickford R.I., We were both in the class of 1956 and we were both on the football team coached by Coach Frank Murgo. George was a 'monumental' figure during his high school years. ! Not one to suffer weakness he was first to fight at the drop of a hat as a classmate, "Russel,"was destined to meet on almost a weekly basis. I left R.I. my junior year to go to Guam, M.I. as my dad was in the Navy and we were transferred there. I lost contact with George at that time. If anyone can fill me in on George's adventures after High School I would like to know.

I used to work for Mr. Ward in 1989 at the original "Pub" across from the F.S.U. campus. He was like a mentor in many ways. He made me understand so much about cooking from scratch, and terms like "High Yield" i.e., never waste anything, ever. RIP to my first boss. Respect, Rock Becker

George and I worked together in Rhode Island for a little while. He was always very kind to me. He gave me rides to work in the morning, he gave me gifts, and he shared his life story with me. He was always talking to me about his family and asking me to keep them in my prayers. He wanted the best for them. I last saw George a very long time ago, at a point where he had become sick and had to leave the job we shared. I wanted to make sure that people knew that George was remembered fondly. My prayers for the family is that they would find peace in God, in each other, and in their sweet memories of George.
