
Geraldine Loucks Haupt, 89, passed away ever so peacefully on Monday, December 19, 2011, just as she had hoped and prayed that she might do.
A Memorial Mass will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church on Thomasville Road. Cremation and a private family interment are planned at Geraldine's request. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Big Bend Hospice or Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville would be appreciated.
Ms. Haupt was born in Willoughby, Ohio where she lived for over twenty-five years. She married Earl J. Bittner, Feb. 26, 1943 and had a daughter. Mr. Bittner was killed during World War II. She worked for the Bell Telephone Co. before she married August Haupt and the family moved to West Palm Beach, Florida with a newborn son. She then had two more sons. She later spent a brief time in Phoenix, Arizona, then to Tallahassee, and lived at Heritage Oaks with her beloved and longtime companion, Raymond Angus.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan B. Campbell, of Tallahassee; two sons, Douglas Haupt, of Okeechobee, Charles Haupt (deceased), and Daniel Haupt of Japan; her beloved grandsons, Troy and Gregory Campbell. She also has granddaughters, Christine, Monica, and Amanda, as well as several great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the direction of Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, Tallahassee, FL.
