Harold Brown passed away March 21, 2013.. He was born December 4, 1927 In Perry Fl. to Horace Raymond and Juanita Touchton Brown. He served in the U.S. Navy from Jan. 1945 to July 1946. He met and married the love of his life, Elizabeth Cogswell Brown on December 30, 1949. They had 4 children. He lived most of his life in Tallahassee. Harold was a printer by trade and had worked for the Tallahassee Democrat and owned several printing shops of his own.. Harold was a 32nd degree Mason and belonged to the Marzuq Shrine Temple and was a member of the Tallahassee Elks Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and cooking. He enjoyed dogs and always had at least one by his side. He attended Trinity Methodist and Wakulla Methodist Churches
Harold is survived by his wife of 63 years, 2 daughters, Margaret Ann Leverett (Kenny), Anita Pearson (Darrell), 2 sons, Charles H. Brown (Rosie) and Clifton W. Brown (Lisa), a brother, H. Raymond Brown, 10 grandchildren and 18 Great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, T.S. Brown and a grandson Shawn Pearson.
Friends and family are invited to a celebration of life at the home of Clifton and Lisa Brown, 1559 Fanew Road on Saturday, March 30, 2013 from 10:00-2:00.
