

She was one of twelve children born to Leedia Brinson and Norwood James Roddenberry of Metcalf, Georgia. A devoted wife for 63 years and loving mother, she is survived by her husband, Colonel (Retired) Ernest F. Rezendes, her daughter Deborah D. Lovell of Dallas and her son John Scott Rezendes, U.S. Army Special Forces (Retired). Her devoted grandchildren are Mark A. Lovell, John Ryan Lovell, Lara Lovell Henry, Jake Ryan Rezendes, Margaret Helen Rezendes, Benjamin Ernest Rezendes and she welcomed her first great-grandchild, Noelle Morgan Henry just recently on November 17 of this year.
Helen traveled all over the world creating a new and beautiful home with every military move. An amazing cook and homemaker, avid reader, cross-word puzzles and master bridge player, she was a woman of many talents. Her loving and large family, an army of nephews and nieces and many dear friends will miss her greatly.
A memorial service will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at Culley’s MeadowWood Riggins Road Chapel. Following the service, family and friends will host a memorial luncheon at Metcalf United Methodist Church in Metcalf, Georgia.
The family wishes to especially thank our dear Aunt Eleanor Rezendes for her love and support during this difficult time.
