

Henry Joseph “Buddy” Collins, 78, passed away Saturday, January 28th 2012.
He was born in Nashville, Georgia, and was a longtime resident of Leon County. He retired from the Public Works Dept. of Leon County with 32 years of service. He was known by his co-workers as PeeWee. After retirement he worked for Paul’s Pest Control.
He is survived by his daughter, Debbie Harrell (husband Terry); brother, Travis Collins (wife Carolyn); granddaughter, Lisa Meeks (husband Fincher); his grandson, Cody Harrell; two great grandchildren, McKenzie and Tyler Meeks; brother-in-law, Sherrold Rogers; his lifelong friend, Marilyn Messer; and his second daughter, Phalecia Birge.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Collins; his parents, W. O. “Booster” Collins and Gladys Brown Collins; his sisters, Maxine Rogers and Christine Horne; brother-in-law, Bob Horne; and great nephew, Brian Adams.
A celebration of Henry’s life will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, February 1, 2012 in the chapel of Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home, 700 Timberlane Road. Family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until the service time.
