James Oliver Clifton, 68 passed away on May 7, 2017 in Tallahassee. James was born on July 20, 1948 in Lake City, FL to Col. Reid and Jewell Clifton. James was retired from the State of Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents and nephew, Robert Clifton. He is survived by his wife, Susan H. Clifton and four children, Jamie (Thomas) Skipper, Reid Clifton, Ron Brown and Garvin (Dana) Brown; grandchildren, Kaila Brown, Jessica Brown, Hunter Brown, Hannah Brown, Hope Clifton, Logan Brown, Colin Clifton, Brooke Skipper, Trinity Brown and Audrey Skipper; brother, William (Cecellia) Clifton; nieces, Leigh (Mike) Stehlik and Erin Clifton.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Culley’s Meadowwood Funeral Home, 700 Timberlane Road, Tallahassee, FL 32312, with a graveside service following at 11:00 a.m.
