

Dr. James Clark Hamilton, age 87, of Tallahassee, Florida passed away on Thursday May 3, 2018. Clark was born September 23, 1930 in Gravity, Iowa to Rita Hamilton and Cecil Hamilton. He graduated from the State University of Iowa with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery before serving as a Captain in the Air Force for two years. Clark then practiced private dentistry for 59 years. He had a passion for helping his patients and was well loved by everyone. Clark was a member of the Bradfordville First Baptist Church.
Clark is survived by his wife, Oredia Hamilton; sons: Clark (Carol) Hamilton, Jr., Dean (Roberta) Hamilton, and Dan (Denise) Hamilton; step daughter, Lea (Mike) McAuley; and step son, Jay (Jory) Hodge; granddaughters: Paige Hamilton, Katie Hamilton, Amy Hamilton, and Heather (James) Hutchinson; grandsons: Colin Hamilton, Clark (Danielle) Hamilton, III, Garrett Hamilton, Matthew Hamilton; great granddaughter, Zooey Hutchinson; great grandson, Clark Hamilton, IV; and sister, Ruth Henss. Clark is also survived by 7 step grandchildren and 7 step great-grandchildren.
Clark was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Hamilton; mother, Rita Hamilton; and great granddaughter, Braelyn Hamilton.
A memorial service for Clark will be held Friday, May 11, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Bradfordville First Baptist Church, Tallahassee, Florida. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Samaritan's Purse or a charity of your choice.
