

He was an active Jehovah's Witness until his illness prevented him from going out in service. During an extended illness, many Witnesses provided care and assistance. His family is very grateful for the kindness and loving care he received.
Harvey Hill was a successful businessman who obtained a degree in accounting while working full-time with a wife and children. Upon graduation, he opened an accounting practice and went on to own more than 20 Western Sizzlin' Steak Houses throughout Georgia, Alabama and Florida. He enjoyed flying his airplane, boating and golfing. Upon his retirement he devoted many hours to serve the Jehovah's Witness Congregation.
Funeral service will be held 2:30 pm Thursday, January 13,2011 at Culley's MeadowWood Timberlane Road Chapel, with burial at Culley's MeadowWood Memorial Park.
Family will receive friends from 6 – 8 pm Wednesday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd. Tallahassee, FL 32308.
Survivors include a daughter, Deborah Harbin (and husband Michael), a son James H. Hill, Jr., (and wife Karen), and a daughter Barbara Hill (and husband William); 14 grandchildren and 11 great -grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Ruth Hill.
Arrangements are under the direction of Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, Tallahassee, FL.
