He was born in Tallahassee on April 2, 1940 to the late James Murray Thompson and Gwendolyn Thompson.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Chaires United Methodist Church at 10:00am.
Ray was preceded by his wife, Pamela Thompson, and sister, Shirley Hooten. Left to cherish his memory are his son, Ken, and wife, Elizabeth; their daughter, Taylor; brother-in-law, Jay Milton; and sister-in-law, Kay Ragland; nieces; nephews; cousins; and friends.
Ray spent most of his life in Chaires. He drove a semi moving people all across the US. He enjoyed traveling the world, visiting countless countries. Ray was a kind and generous man with a sense of humor. He spent as much time as he could with family and friends. He was loved by many and will be missed dearly
