James was born May 11,1965 in Tallahassee, FL to Willie & Yvonne Thompson. He attended Godby High School and would later work with the Department of Transportation and then later retire from Leon County Schools.
He is survived by his parents, Willie & Yvonne Thompson, Brothers, Michael Smith (Brenda), Ronnie Thompson (Sherry), Sisters, Sheryl Wood (Rick), Cindy Rudd (Wendell) and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
James will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
