Jeanne Farris, born on Feb 11, 1922 in Ft. Myers, Florida died on June 7, 2021 at 99 years old. She graduated from Plant High School in Tampa, Florida and went on to attend the University of Tampa where she received a violin scholarship and played in the University Symphony Orchestra. While in Tampa, she soon met E.W. "Al " Farris and they were married in 1942 at which time she became a military wife. After WW II, she enjoyed living in Alaska and Paris during Al’s additional Air Force tours of duty. They were happily married for 59 years. She was an early member of Killearn United Methodist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir for over 25 years and still attended a bible study into her nineties. Her faith and her family were foremost in her life.
She is survived by her daughter Kathy Hodge(Burt); three granddaughters; DeAnne Hodge, Amy H. Rudzik(Steven) and Jessica H. Schroeder(Craig); and great-grandchildren, Emma Rose, Isabelle and Bennett Rudzik.
A private family service will be held to celebrate her life.
