Jeanne moved to this area in 1966 from Norman, Oklahoma with her husband Thomas Shelby Ray, a Clinical Physiologist. She retired from Florida State University where she worked as a Technical Assistant in the library. She was a member of the Unitarian Church.
Survivors include a son, Thomas S. Ray II of Norman, Oklahoma; a daughter, Jeanne Phoenix of Monticello, Florida; a granddaughter, Ariel Ivy Ray of Costa Rica.
She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Shelby Ray Sr.
