Vance, I’m praying for you and your family . Wishing you Peace.

I met Jeannee in 1991 when I took my first post-graduate job in the Florida Department of Health. We became fast friends as she showed me the ropes and helped me navigate a new life on my own in Tallahassee.  We spent most every weekend together with her beloved Daniel; I attended their intimate wedding and later, she attended mine as my matron of honor. Together we spent time helping the families of migrant farm workers, clearing their property in Tallahassee and caring for many animals. She was the most kind, dear, loving and fun friend I’ve ever known and my heart is broken to know I won’t be spending any more weekends in Quincy with her.   

She had an enormous capacity to love and care for others. I’m one of the lucky ones to have enjoyed that. Here’s hoping she’s resting happily with Gil, Lois and Daniel. ❤️❤️❤️

I loved and enjoyed Jeannee so much and am heartbroken .  She was so intelligent, humorous and fun to be around.  But her special gift to everyone was her sincerely kind and compassionate heart.  If she saw a person or an animal hurting or in need of help, she would be the first to respond.  She was one of a kind and I will miss her so much.  Love ya Jeannee Beanie……..see you one day in Glory!
Aunt Carla

I worked with Jeannee many years ago in the Bureau of WIC program services. She was a great boss who gave great advice. She was a great mentor. She was fun to travel with on program reviews. And taught me a lot about working with difficult people tactfully. In the pictures you posted, the ever present diet coke is there. Made me smile. 

Jeannee was one of the best people I've known. She was fun and funny, fiercely loyal, and kept things real. But Jeannee was also one of the kindest people I have ever known. She had such a good heart, especially when it came to the lost or vulnerable, whether they were people or animals. I will miss our trips to Savannah, but most of all I'll just miss her.

Aunt Jeanne has been a special part of my life for as long as I can remember. Always up beat , positive and very encouraging.  She was and is deeply loved and will be greatly missed.  

I first met Jeanne in 1974 at Thanksgiving at her and Vance’s Papaws house.I love listening to her talk about writers and books. When our daughter Lois was born , no one was a better Aunt Nee Née! We still have the many photo album/ memory books she made for Lois recording each vacation an trip ..She was the best Auntie. We will miss her kind spirit and enthusiasm..

Jeannie, was her dad's link to joy. I knew her 40 years; she would always greet me with a hug. I'll miss Jeannie.


I've known Jeannee since 1980-81.
My Mom and Jeannee were very close friends. 
I remember Jeannee spending alot of time at our house, visiting over a cup of coffee or a meal. 
Sometimes they ​would do the Jane Fonda workout in our living room with great energy and enthusiasm.

Jeannee was one of the most kind-hearted people I've ever met. 
I admired her a great deal. 
She was loved by all, she will be missed by all and I will always cherish the time i spent with her. 

Jeannee was my boss while working for the State of Florida almost 15 years ago. She was one of the best human beings I have ever known in my life. I considered her a mentor and a friend, but we lost touch when I moved out of state. I will remember her as a strong-willed, intelligent woman who would move mountains to help a soul in need. And for everything she has done for so many people, she deserves to be honored and celebrated.
