

Jewell Crews Dart, 76, of Tallahassee, Florida, passed away on March 5, 2020. A daughter of the late Tim and Ruby Crews. She was born in Macclenny, Florida, on April 17, 1943. Jewell graduated from Baker County High School and attended Florida State University.
She married William “Bill,” Crandall Dart, on April 18, 1964, and they were married for 42 years. They met while attending FSU, Jewell sat behind Bill in class and asked him to a Sadie Hawkins dance. Bill and Jewell had a strong passion for FSU football and attended nearly every home game. Jewell enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles, going to St. George Island and politics, but was most proud of her family.
Jewell worked with former Governor Collins, was a legal secretary for Sandy D’Alemberte at Steele, Hector, and Davis Law Firm and served as a legal secretary for Moyle, Flanigan Law Firm until her retirement.
Jewell was preceded in death by her parents, Tim and Ruby Crews; her brother, Randall Crews; and her husband, Bill Dart. She is survived by her brother, Nathaniel Crews (Carolyn) of Macclenny, FL; her sister, Carolyn Vickers (Paul) of Macclenny, FL; her sister, Faye Gay (Tom) of Thomasville, GA; her brother, Mikell Crews (Tona) of Macclenny, FL; her daughter, Lisa Waddell and husband Jim Waddell of Tallahassee, FL; her daughter, Lori Hearne and husband Trevor Suter of Tallahassee, FL; her grandson Nicholas Waddell, 25, of Tallahassee, FL; her granddaughter, Mary Catherine Waddell, 19, of Gettysburg, PA; her granddaughter, Briley Hearne, 17, of Tallahassee, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.
