Joan Knowles Troelstrup

Joan Knowles Troelstrup, 82. Born in Columbia, Missouri on October 23, 1929, passed away peacefully in Tallahassee, FL on December 31, 2011.

After graduation from Stephens College in Columbia, MO, Joan went on to work as an administrative assistant for the Florida Senate and later had a distinguished career as a real estate agent with Coldwell Banker.

She was a loving and supportive mother and grandmother and thoroughly enjoyed cheering her family on from the bleachers at many a baseball game. Joan was an avid bridge player and was a patron of the photographic arts.

She is preceded in death by William A. Troelstrup, her husband of 61 years.

She is survived by her sons, William W. Troelstrup of Tallahassee, FL and Mike Troelstrup (Lynne) of Tallahassee, FL; and daughter, Terry Edmondson of Lawrence, Kansas; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Culley's MeadowWood Timberlane Rd Chapel on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. A celebration of her life will follow immediately.
