JoBeth Abberton of Tallahassee passed away on January 23, 2025. She was 38. There will be a funeral service at St. John’s Episcopal Church on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. There will be a reception immediately following the service. JoBeth was a graduate of Practical Nursing at Lively Technical College and had worked as a licensed practical nurse. However, her first love was the art of cosmetology. She is survived by her father, William Abberton (Melody); her mother, Sallie Harrington; and her son, Atreyu Abberton. She was preceded in death by her loving sister, Mary Kathleen. JoBeth was born at the Naval Hospital in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina and lived in Tallahassee most of her adult life. JoBeth loved music and the people who wrote her favorites. Funny, clever, intelligent, and most of all courageous, she loved her family and friends. JoBeth’s friendships encompassed all aspects of her life, and each was special to her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
