John Stewart Busch born July 31, 1965 in Wiesbaden, Germany, passed on March 4, 2017 in Tallahassee, FL. He was the proud father of Lilah Amos-Busch. John was a lifelong musician, playing many instruments, but played the trombone in his band, Baccone Dolce, and tuba, for the Florida State University's Marching Chiefs. The son of an Air Force Master Sergeant, John lived in Germany; Georgia; Hawaii; Virginia; Azores, Portugal; and Homestead, Florida, graduating from South Dade High School before settling in Tallahassee in 1986. In those early days, when not on the road with Baccone Dolce, John could be found in the kitchen at Grand Finale’s and then at Cabo’s Island Grill. He worked in the deli at New Leaf Market for the past 15 years. John is survived by his daughter Lilah, sister Laura Busch, aunts Cheryl Nicely and Molly Busch, uncle Cliff Stewart, numerous cousins, family friend Adrian (Amos) Honderick, and close friends in the area, as well as his beloved dog George Busch. John was loved by many and while all will miss his kindness, wide range of music recommendations, and his sense of humor, only some will miss his terrible puns.
